AIC Consulting & Design is owned and operated by Dr. Ann M. Abdelzaher. She graduated from the University of Virginia in 2009 with a Ph.D. in Instructional Technology. She decided to start AIC Consulting & Design to fill a gap that she noticed both in the needs of local business and in the area of conference publishing.
Dr. Abdelzaher's husband, Dr. Tarek Abdelzaher, is a researcher in the field of computer science and very active in the conference scene for his field. Ann noticed that the publication chair aspect of conference preparation was a task that few wanted to do. She decided to offer an affordable proceedings development service to the conference organizers.
Dr. Abdelzaher lives in a small town with a lot of small businesses and she had noticed that many of those small businesses struggled with finding an affordable provider for web design and other technology services. She decided to become a source for those small business needs.
